Magic is an ancient art, dating back to, before recorded history. In the art of magic we learn the basics, as any artist would. In order to study how magic works we must break it down to see what methods give what effects. Much in the way a painter would study brush strokes to see what effects they would cause.

An EFFECT is what the AUDIENCE SEES. There are only 7 effects in the whole world of magic. A METHOD or PRINCIPLE is what the MAGICIAN DOES. There are many methods and principles "ways" to do magic. The audience should NEVER see the magicians method.
